In accordance with state law, the Authority participates in labor negotiations (also known as collective bargaining) with its unions and employee groups. The result of the negotiation processes are written agreements reached between the Authority and the bargaining groups. These agreements are commonly referred to as Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs). Additionally, the terms and conditions of the Executive Director’s employment with the Authority is governed by an employment agreement.
